Matt Richards

Matt began his career in small firms on the Sunshine Coast, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant, and has since built a career spanning more than 30 years across accounting, business ownership, and commercial leadership.

Alongside his accounting career, Matt founded a successful software consulting business that was later sold to management, and has also been a shareholder in an engineering business. This hands-on experience gives him a practical, real-world understanding of what it takes to build, run, and grow a business — particularly across the manufacturing and building sectors.

Having been in business himself, Matt is passionate about helping other business owners overcome challenges, make confident decisions, and achieve the goals they’ve set for their businesses.

Outside of work, Matt is a long-time active and Life Member of Metropolitan Caloundra SLSC. He also sits on the Board of the Supporters Club, helps with coaching, and keeps active through swimming and the gym.
