Caine Barends

Caine Barends is a Partner and Client Director at Xact Accounting with extensive experience supporting businesses, family enterprises and high-growth ventures across a broad range of industries. His career spans over 30 years, during which he has developed a reputation for delivering strategic, practical advice that helps clients to make confident decisions and go about their business.

Prior to joining, Caine held senior advisory roles in both Australian and International firms, where he led multidisciplinary teams and advised on tax, insolvency, business transformation, financial performance, and governance. He has also been a part owner of an IT business, the CFO of a diverse corporate group (with interests in legal, earthmoving, home building and construction & development), the Interim CEO of Adenbrook Homes and spent two years working in the special situations division of a bank (underperforming situations). Caine’s work has been acknowledged by being awarded Large Turnaround of the Year (UK/Europe) for work done on Texon Plc (a UK-based company, trading in 50-plus countries around the world).
