Michael Yu

Michael is a CPA with over 13 years’ experience in taxation and business advisory, much of it working with construction business owners across the sector, from builders and excavation contractors to equipment hire operators. He holds a Master of Applied Law and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance alongside his CPA qualification.

He also advises large family groups and clients in transport and logistics, giving him a broad commercial view he brings back to every construction engagement.

Alongside the day-to-day advisory work, Michael has guided clients through large ATO reviews and audits, helping owners stay in control when the stakes are high. He supports everyone from established operators to start-ups, meeting each business where it is and structuring for where it wants to go.

Outside work, he plays badminton, boxes, and enjoys catching up with friends and family over a new restaurant.
