What you will be doing:
- Managing the monthly closing process, performing variance analysis, and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs). This includes collaborating with the accounting team to facilitate monthly closing and compliance processes.
- Analysing business and financial results to identify key drivers of variances, opportunities, and risks
- Assisting the Team Leader in their duties
- Reconciling subsidiary ledger accounts with the main general ledger account as needed
- Competently preparing full balance sheet reconciliations
- Promptly informing the Team Leader of any account issues
- Upholding and promoting the firm’s values
- Maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards
What you need to be able to apply:
- At least 4+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- Ability to create reconciliations from scratch
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with management reporting software
- Basic skills with XERO, MYOB, QuickBooks, or equivalent
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Outgoing and proactive personality
