With over 10 years of experience in the accounting industry, Hayan is a vital member of the team at Xact. Hayan brings a passion for helping small businesses and SMEs get the best possible outcome with their compliance obligations and tax position. He also knows a thing or two about resilience!
After leaving his birth country, Syria in 2008, Hayan arrived in Australia with very basic English skills, an international qualification that was not recognised in Australia, and the daunting task of establishing a life in a new country.
Throwing himself into further education, Hayan worked hard to improve his English and attained a master’s degree in professional accounting from the University of Queensland.
His work in the Australian accounting landscape involves extensive experience in financial reporting, tax preparation and optimisation, realising efficiencies in small business accounting systems & processes, and the financial requirements of QBCC licensing.
Hayan’s diligent work ethic and vibrant personality have had a great impact on the culture at Xact, as well as endearing him to clients… and by the way… Do NOT try and keep up with Hayan on a bike – he is extremely fit!
